A double first: amicable’s advert and AI

Yuni is ready 24/7

5 Jan 2026: Late last year amicable ran a UK first-in-the-field national TV advert. It adds to a new culture of how we think about family separation. Now, working with Your Direction, amicable have launched Split Happens, the first use of AI to offer a safe digital platform to support young people when their family separates.

When families choose amicable over adversarial, everyone wins. Especially the children.

Research found one in four young people prefer to go online anyway. Four out of five feel unable to speak openly about how it’s affecting them.

Going online now will be more trustworthy with Split Happens. Teens and young adults have a custom-built expert-approved content that offers a safe space to talk without judgement from Yuni, the chatbot. Yuni aims to be a bridge to real-world conversations. It’s free to use.

Goodbye Mummy
A double first

After a remarkably short R&D period, amicable’s advert and Split Happens chatbot get the double first. As well as promoting their own amicable services for separating families, the TV ad helps turn the public towards the new culture. And Split Happens is a smart way to bring young people to pole position for fast support.

The main image at the top is at the end of amicable’s TV advert. The graduation photographer says: “And now with the step-parents as well”.

That pairs with the famous viral team photo on the left. The world will have reached a new era when neither image is newsworthy or viral.
