A big challenge for a big world congress
July 2025: In Cambridge, UK, 27-30 July, the four-yearly World Congress on Family Law and Children’s Rights meets with their mission “to enhance, promote and protect the human rights of children and young people”. The theme this time is: Children Caught in Conflict – Inspiring Positive Change.

Before that, the UK’s Nuffield Family Justice Observatory, have published their new guidance for family courts on what information family law systems need to record.
Assessing the quality and outcome of services is a core challenge for any who aim to show how far they really do help and support children and families in distress – like when they separate. Most family courts collect limited records about their work and its efficacy.
Who will take up this important challenge at the Congress?
